Bring Me The Ocean

Bring me the ocean, and I will build you a castle….

Spending time at the beach in South Carolina was one of my favorite things to do when I lived there for a short period of time. It was the first time I remember being able to enjoy the feel of the warm sand, soft breeze and beautiful colors of pinks, purples and glorious blues that would paint the sky in the early morning hours, and right before the setting of the sun for the nights rest. I have had the good fortune of living on both the West coast and the East coast. Each has its gifts of beautiful scenery, wonder and memorable times spent. The ocean on the Pacific coast can be very demanding at times with its hard blowing winds and constant battle of rain and cold chilly gust...you learn respect for the weather and ocean real quick in the Pacific Northwest. But the rocky bluffs, Earl Grey sands, monoliths of stone that guard the shores, and the lush green foliage that seems to spill out from the West coast mountains to the ocean, just may be your thing.  The Atlantic ocean can show you how it rules on days when stormy hurricanes dance out on the waters, tearing at the coast shores with massive arms of waves, winds that confound the soul and sheets of pouring rain. But as quick as the storm comes in it also goes out. No matter where your beach may be, by the side of a pool, puddle, lake, stream or even ocean, may you have the opportunity to build a castle and enjoy.
