That’s the sound of Hayes the scarecrow driving down a bumpy farm road in his old green 1920’s pickup truck. In the back he has loads of wonderful autumn beauty and flavors from this season’s harvest.
The end of the harvest season has come and all the fields have been plucked clean. Blessed are we for so many wonders which have ripened and are ready for purchase.
Hayes is bouncing his happy way to market, there he will find many takers for his magnificent sunflowers, big barrels of apples and beautiful bright pumpkins.
Jet the crow is always with Hayes, following him wherever he may go, they are the best of friends. Today Jet will call out to all the shoppers to come see the wonderful harvest he and Hayes have brought to market. After each shopper has made a purchase Jet will do a fancy crow dance, bobbing his head and waving his beautiful blue-black feathers while singing out a big squawking thank you.
So when you’re out and about getting those last minute touches for your wonderful harvest meal, make sure you stop by and say a big “Howdy” to Hayes and Jet. Don’t forget to get a bundle of their harvest happiness too.
